Rural Health School Nurse Manager with SWOSU New

Position Description:

The Southwestern Oklahoma State University College of Pharmacy Rural Health Center is seeking a qualified and experienced Rural Health School Nurse Manager to oversee and support health care personnel in local schools within the service area. This 100% grant-funded position will be responsible for supervision, training, and the coordination of school-based health initiatives, including the integration of telehealth technology. The role requires a licensed Registered Nurse with a strong background in public health, school health, and/or educational settings. The Rural Health School Nurse Manager will be responsible for the management of a Maternal Child Health grant awarded through the Oklahoma State Department of Health and for managing the school telehealth program within the Rural Health Center in the College of Pharmacy.

This position will focus on the implementation of school telehealth programs across Western Oklahoma in coordination with area schools receiving equipment from SWOSU USDA telemedicine grant. The Manager will report to the Rural Health Center Director and be responsible for grant budget preparation, workplan development, utilization, and oversight. The position will require regular travel, within a 90-mile radius, to support and provide technical assistance for school health personnel. The position focuses on health education and improved health care access for children ages 1 to 21 years as detailed in the Maternal and Child Health Title V Block Grant. The Manager will work closely with the SWOSU School of Nursing and College of Pharmacy to develop and improve key community partnerships and support existing local school telehealth programs across western Oklahoma.
