What is WOW?

Western Oklahoma Wellness (WOW) is a consortium dedicated to advancing healthcare delivery in rural communities. This grant funded through the HRSA Outreach Program targets prevention of diabetes and other related chronic conditions. WOW works with healthcare partners to improve access to care, education, and community wellness in the following Western OK counties: Beckham, Greer, Kiowa, Roger Mills, and Washita. Our partners include The Oklahoma Nutrition Information and Education (ONIE) Project and SWOSU Rural Health Center. ONIE promotes healthy living through innovative and creative strategies for communities, families and individuals, while the SWOSU RHC has a mission to build an avenue for information and develop programs for community-based healthcare services collaborating with local pharmacies and hospitals for the advancement of the health and well-being of the medically underserved population in Oklahoma.
