Share your experience as a School Nurse working with School Medicaid
|
|
PSNI's Bob Bundy and NEUSHA's Jenny Gormley will be presenting a session at the 2022 NAME national School Medicaid conference entitled, "School Medicaid Challenges and Opportunities for School Nurses." The presentation is on October 26 at the conference in Baltimore, MD.
The session objective is to raise awareness in the audience members (CMS, USDE, OIG, State Medicaid & Education officials) of the unique challenges school nurses face trying to coordinate the vital medical services their students need with the detailed documentation requirements of School Medicaid programs. With that awareness, change and improvements for school nurses can hopefully follow.
Jenny and Bob are looking for school nurses who would share some of their experiences - both good and bad - with School Medicaid including:
- Training they've received
- Documentation requirements
- Audit situations
- Successes
- Challenges
- Frustrations
If you, or nurses on your staff, would be willing to help us gather some "stories from the field" and give school nurses visibility in this national forum, please contact Bob via email at bob.bundy@promedsoftware.com. Bob and Jenny will contact you and arrange a time to talk.
Thank you for all of your help!
